John "Casey" MORRIS
Came to Kittitas County, Washinton with his parents in 1890 and became a "familiar figure" in Roslyn. He worked in the coal mines as a rope rider, and was a "great ourdoorsman, finshing and hunting were his favorite hobbies. He was a former
member of the Eagles Lodge." ®1
John worked for the NWI mine for 31 years. ®1
John died in a mining accident, under a trip, at #9 mine in Roslyn. Services preceding buial were held from the Episcopal Church. Thomas WOODWARD, lay reader, officiated. ®1
